Well, I am back from the cottage for just a few days to refuel, catch up on some work, and get some emails out.  I would like to say that I really miss the Internet while I am at the cottage, but that would not be entirely true.  Obviously, it would be great to be able to send out my emails, and post to my blog whilst on vacation, but at the same time, it really is nice to have your time occupied by something other than a computer.

When at the cottage, I am able to sit on the beach and relax in the sun, I am able to take my boat out on the lake and enjoy the scenery as well as the calming waters of Lake Erie and Rondeau Bay.  I am able to take some serious time to relfect on my life with my loving wife, and plan for the future.  I can devote time to visiting friends I may not otherwise see throughout the year.

The downside to not having the Internet is of course, that when I return to the house, I have hundreds of emails, Facebook requests, and news feeds to go through, which can be at its best, tedious.  As much as I love my technology, I do miss a simpler life every now and again, and I get this at the cottage.

I think that I should start bringing a tape recorder of some sort with me to the cottage though…I find that I do have a lot of things running through my head that would make some great postings to this blog, but unfortunately, they have all disappeared by the time I get home.  I will have to see about getting something going so that I can at least comment on these things when I get home, even if I am not able to do so when the moment strikes me.

If anyone has any recommendations as to a nice, very cheap digital recorder I could pick up, then please comment below, or send me a quick email with a link or two.
